If you’re a first-time patient at Essential Chiropractic, you’ll need to give us some information about your background, medical history and the nature of your condition. This is so that we can provide the best possible care, tailored to your specific needs.
We pride ourselves on being a paperless clinic. At the time of your booking, you will be sent an online link via email or SMS to complete your new patient form. Once completed it will automatically upload to our system. There is no need for printers and it allows our practitioners to have an insight into your condition prior to arrival.
During your first visit with us we will discuss any health-related issues and concerns. You will also learn about potential care options we have for you.
In order to find the source of your problem, our practitioners will ask you a number of questions to gain an insight into your condition.
We will examine your nervous system, joints, muscles and spinal column thoroughly to reach a diagnosis for your complaint.
In most cases, once we have gained the information we require after your examination, we will explain to you what we have found, what we can do to help and an approximation of how many sessions it will take. If we need to refer you for further investigations, we will take appropriate action to do so. Should you wish to start care with us we will start with your first treatment in this session.
Before leaving, you’ll be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be carried out at home. This may include ice or heat applications, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercise.
Throughout your time with us, we will regularly reassess you to see how well you are doing and how you are responding to our treatments. We will also determine what needs to be done to take you to the next stage of your care to obtain optimum wellbeing. This is also to prevent your condition from going back to square one!
